People, pets and animals are becoming my new favorite things to paint, although I still love landscapes! 

Living in Summit County gives me a huge variety of subjects to paint.  Many are painted or started outside (plein air) in the summer but in the winter I am limited to working in the studio from studies and photographs.

I have a few of my original oils printed on watercolor paper, unframed.

Many of these are of my home country, New Zealand, many painted plein air. 

These paintings have gone to a good home!

In he months of May and June 2014, I challenged myself to paint 30 plein air paintings in the 61 days of the two months.  The first two weeks in May it snowed, but I was able to catch up in June.  Note the first few paintings had snow on the ground. It was great to take note of the season change from winter to summer in such a short period of time.
